| Qualification | Bachelor’s degree in a related field |
| Experience | 1.5 + years relevant experience |
| Responsibilities | Assist in the implementation of Barrick’s Sustainability Policy and associated procedures and standards.Help develop practical and technical environmental programs, inspections, controls, and consultations to ensure that environmental and safety standards are maintained.Aid in the administration and implementation of field-based environmental monitoring, sampling, and data collection programs.Perform inspections of ground, water, waste management, and vegetation.Participate in waste management strategies, including hazardous waste identification, handling, and disposal, ensuring adherence to local laws and company policies.Support the development of key strategies and processes to enhance environmental management plans.Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for environmental permits, regulatory submissions, and stakeholder consultations.Provide technical support for the Environmental Department, including data entry, reporting, and communication with staff, contractors, and consultants.Support the development and execution of environmental training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders |
